Adding an Expression to a Question

Expressions control form validation. By linking expressions to form fields, you can assure that data entered into forms is in a consistent format and contains valid information. Expressions are supported for the JavaScript language.

To add an expression to a question for validation, perform the following steps:

To add an expression to a question:

1. On the Admin tab, open the Question Manager subview of the Site Management >Questions view. The Question Manager view opens, listing all defined questions.
2. Double-click on an existing question to open the Question Properties dialog box.
3. On the Question tab of the Question Properties dialog box, select an appropriate expression from the Answer Format list.
4. Click Save .
